Solaryn does not sell personal information. We use account, Minecraft, Discord, support, security, and email data to operate the network, protect users, and provide requested services.
1. Who we are
Solaryn Network is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Privacy questions and requests can be sent through Player Support or to support@solaryn.net.
2. Information we collect
Account and identity information
- Solaryn username, display name, email address, password hash, account status, roles, and verification timestamps.
- Linked Minecraft usernames, edition, UUID, XUID, verification status, and avatar or skin information.
- Linked Discord, Google, or Microsoft identifiers, usernames, profile pictures, and account metadata needed for authentication.
Service and community information
- Forum posts, comments, votes, reactions, support requests, Inbox conversations, appeals, reports, and uploaded evidence.
- Punishment records imported from configured moderation databases, excluding protected IP-only identities from public display.
- Email subscription choices, queued delivery status, and sanitised SMTP error information.
Technical and security information
- IP addresses used for registration and successful login, encrypted at rest.
- Session cookies, login timestamps, security events, rate-limit records, and privacy-safe online-presence heartbeats.
- Browser or request information normally contained in web-server logs.
We do not intentionally collect full payment-card details. Payments are handled by the relevant store or payment provider.
3. How information is collected
Information is collected when you register, sign in, link an account, join the network, submit content, contact support, subscribe to updates, make a purchase, or interact with Discord-connected features. We also receive limited information from authentication providers, Minecraft profile services, moderation plugins, hosting providers, and security systems.
4. How we use information
- Create and manage accounts and linked identities.
- Authenticate users and recover access.
- Operate Minecraft, website, forums, support, email, and Discord bridge services.
- Display appropriate avatars, roles, profiles, and public community content.
- Investigate reports, appeals, cheating, abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Deliver purchases, support replies, password resets, and opted-in updates.
- Maintain availability, diagnose errors, prevent misuse, and improve services.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms and rules.
5. Lawful bases
Depending on the processing, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide an account, linked services, support, or purchased digital benefits.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the network, prevent abuse, moderate communities, maintain records, and improve services, balanced against your rights.
- Consent: for optional marketing or update emails and certain optional integrations. Consent can be withdrawn.
- Legal obligation: where records or disclosures are required by law.
8. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use providers that offer appropriate safeguards, contractual protections, or recognised transfer mechanisms. The protections available may vary by provider and location.
9. How long information is kept
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected. Retention is based on account activity, service operation, security needs, moderation history, dispute periods, legal obligations, and whether records can be safely anonymised or deleted.
- Active account information is generally kept while the account remains open.
- Expired reset and verification tokens are removed automatically.
- Online-presence records expire after a short activity window.
- Support, moderation, security, and audit records may be retained longer where needed to resolve disputes, prevent evasion, or protect the community.
- Unsubscribed email addresses are retained only as needed to honour the opt-out and prevent accidental re-subscription.
10. Security
We use measures such as password hashing, encrypted sensitive fields, HTTPS, restricted administrative permissions, CSRF protection, request signing, rate limits, private support attachments, and audit logs. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so report suspected compromise promptly and never share passwords or verification codes.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Some requests may be limited where information must be retained for security, legal claims, fraud prevention, or the rights of others.
We may need to verify identity before completing a request. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
12. Younger users
Solaryn is a Minecraft community and may be used by younger players. Users who cannot legally provide consent or enter these Terms must have a parent or guardian assist them. We do not knowingly request more information from children than is necessary to provide and protect the service.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when services, providers, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be communicated appropriately and the effective date will be revised.
